RAF First Aid Packet

Picture
Many American fliers were issued the RAF first aid packet to augment their standard gear. The kit included not only the standard bandage and morphine, but also burn jelly as well as special gloves impregnated with an antiseptic ointment. Burns from flash fires were particularly common flying injuries, especially on the hands. The contents were hermetically sealed inside a rubberized cloth pouch. Slits at each corner allowed the kit to be ripped open easily. Standard practice was attach the corner loops to the life vest strap at the  waist. These kits were especially common among fighter pilots.

This  is an excellent reproduction of this very rare item. The period rubberized cloth is hermetically sealed like originals, and is complete with the extensive instructions screen printed on the pouch. Slits at each corner, and attachment tabs allow the kit to function like the original. Available either sealed up with dummy contents inside for display, or empty with one side left open for you to insert your own items inside.

Filled for display: $29.95 (Email to order)
Empty pouch: $23.95
