BC-611 Rigger Harness

One of the many items manufactured by riggers were harnesses for jumping the SCR-536 BC-611 radio "handie walkie". Most of the modern repros are fantasy items that look only remotely similar to the originals. Our reproduction is made  exactly like the originals, and the pattern is copied directly from period equipment and photographs. The harness is constructed only from materials WWII Riggers would have had at their disposal for repairing T-5 parachutes - Type VIII black dot harness webbing, heavy reinforcement webs, and heavy 5-cord cotton thread.  This is a harness you can entrust your BC-611 with while hittin' the silk.

To attach the harness to the BC-611, first pull the top end cap tightly over the top of the radio and center the webbing down the middle of the radio. Then attach the LTD snap and tightly buckle the bottom strap to secure the entire assembly. The shoulder strap can be adjusted to various lengths to fit different individuals and can also be shortened and strapped around the waist.

Price: $53 (Email us  to order  - generally ships in 2-3 days)
