G-1 Cargo pack
The G-1 parapack was the primary aerial delivery parachute during WWII and Korea. Standardized in December 1942, it mated with all styles of cargo containers including the A-4 and A-5, seeing extensive use in all major airborne and resupply operations. The pack encapsulated the 24’ rayon canopy and facilitated loads up to 300 pounds.
Featuring original OD green canvas, the pack tray is built with NOS heavyweight cotton thread and the double reinforced break cord aperture. The full length rolled & sewn static line is complete with the correct WWII style snap hook (NOS original) and is sewn with heavy cotton 5-cord harness thread as per originals. Internally, the tray is complete with the plywood base, hesitator loops, and log record pouch. Heavy brass grommets, part number stamp, and the Army/Navy inspection & acceptance stamp completes the ensemble. Also included is the correct cotton lacing break cord and several spare parachute rubber retaining bands for the static line. Premium version available with wartime snap hook, and standard model with repro style hook.
