WWII Parachute Log record

With a man's life in the balance, parachutes were individually serial numbered and carried a log book containing the history of the parachute. Technically known as AAF Form No. 46 "Parachute Log Record", this booklet contained a wealth of history on parachute repacking, inspections, drop tests, repairs, and TO Compliance.  Parachute logs followed the parachute canopy throughout its service life.
