RAF First Aid Packet
In addition to basic first aid supplies, RAF personnel were also issued a special air crew first aid packet. Burns from flash fires were particularly common flying injuries, especially on the hands. This kit included not only the standard bandage and morphine, but also burn jelly as well as special gloves impregnated with an antiseptic ointment. The contents were hermetically sealed inside a rubberized cloth pouch. Slits at each corner allowed the kit to be ripped open easily.

Slits at each corner, and attachment tabs allow the kit to function like the original.
