Headset Ear Cushions
Most wartime headsets utilized the iconic foam rubber cushions. Typically a dark brown color, these extra large cushions are virtually impossible to find these days. Rather than pressing directly against the ear, the large size and deep internal recess allowed the cushion to comfortably surround the ear and gently rest against the wearers head.
Made with a flexible foam rubber, these reproductions contour well around the ears and are more comfortable than the hard rubber versions commonly seen today. Although specifically designed for the HS-23 headset (black PL-54 plug) they can also stretch slightly and fit on the HS-33 headset (red PL-354 plug, pictured). They also fit some other civilian and foreign headsets of this era. Set of Two Cushions.
