Paramarine Parachute
The standard issue parachute for Paramarine use was commonly referred to as the Navy Dual Purpose. This novel parachute could be opened either automatically by static line, or could freefall and be opened manually by ripcord. The static line would stowed vertically under two elastic bands, would upon jumping, would unwind and pull a short ripcord cable, releasing the pack. Early harnesses were constructed with solid white NAF style webbing, while later production utilized the common AN style black dotted webbing and harness arrangement.
This reproduction closely follows the original early pattern Paramarine chutes. The main pack functions just like originals - complete with the separate mini ripcord cable attached to the static line functions. The data panels were carefully copied, down the serial numbers, from early issue packs made by Eagle Parachute Corporation. All details are carefully copied, from shoulder storage point for the static line to the special detachable pack keepers. The reserve pack features the Paramarine-specific pack pattern, with mini-ripcord flap, side handle, and extra interior reinforcements.
