Navy QAC Chest Pack
The Quick Attachable Chest (QAC) was designed so that aircrew could wear only the harness and move about unhindered by the weight of the parachute. If bailing out was required, the chest pack could be quickly snapped into place. The QAC was built around the standard Naval Aircraft Factory pack design, and was widely issued to crewman on a variety of aircraft, including PBY crews, rear gunners, and a variety of other personnel. It was also the standard issue reserve pack for the Navy Dual Purpose parachute.

This reproduction pack follows the original construction in all the details. Featuring beautiful color matched navy gray canvas and binding tape, it is sewn with period cotton thread. Built in the Naval Aircraft Factory style, it has the white, undyed reinforcement webbing and the distinctive ripcord pin flap held by bungee cords. The snap hooks are rigger tacked to the pack just like originals, and are complete with the risers and cross-connector strap. Internally, the pack includes the hesitator loops, flaps, and all the little reinforcement detailing. Complete with single carry handle and Navy style elastic ripcord pocket.
